Our story
Our story began 7 years ago in 2019, with the creation of Pupz, a project born with a simple and deeply human purpose: to help pet owners protect their pets and increase the chances of reunion in cases of loss or disappearance.
From the beginning, we understood that dogs and cats are not just pets. They are part of the family, have history, bonds, routines, identity and emotional importance for their owners. That is why Pupz emerged with the mission of using technology to bring people, pets, clinics, partners and institutions together in a safer, smarter and more connected network.
Over the years, the project evolved. What started as a solution focused on locating and protecting lost pets transformed into a more robust technology platform, focused on digital animal identity, facial biometrics for pets, data security, traceability and integrations with companies, clinics, insurers, city halls and partners in the pet ecosystem.
This evolution marked a new phase for the company. Pupz began positioning itself as Pet Bio ID, a brand that better represents our current essence: creating a unique, secure and technological identity for each pet.
The new phase: Pet Bio ID
Pet Bio ID was born from the natural evolution of Pupz. We maintained the same original purpose — protecting pets and supporting owners — but expanded the vision, technology and impact of the solution.
Today, we work to transform the way pets are identified, registered and recognized. Our technology allows dogs and cats to have a digital identity linked to secure data, biometric features, QR Code, microchip when available, and relevant information history.
This digital identity can support different uses, such as locating lost pets, safe contact between whoever finds an animal and its owner, pet registration and management, support for public identification campaigns, and integrations with companies and institutions in the animal sector.
Pet Bio ID represents a broader vision: creating a technological infrastructure so that pets are recognized safely, organized and reliably throughout their lives.
The birth of MyPetAlive
As part of this new phase, we created MyPetAlive, a platform developed to bring pet owners, pets and technology even closer together.
MyPetAlive was created to be a simple, accessible and secure environment where each pet can have their digital registration, identification data and features that facilitate their protection. The platform brings together features such as pet profile, QR Code identification, location support, biometric registration, lost pets map, owner information and secure contact mechanisms.
MyPetAlive aims to make animal identification more practical for the owner and more efficient for the entire network involved in pet care. Instead of relying only on isolated methods, the system combines technology, data and connectivity to increase security and traceability.

Our mission is to give identity, protection and visibility to each pet, using technology to reduce losses, facilitate reunions, support owners and modernize data management in the animal world.
We believe every pet deserves to be recognized uniquely, safely and permanently. We also believe that technology must be at the service of care, trust and responsibility.
Our vision
We want to build one of the leading digital animal identity infrastructures, connecting owners, companies, clinics, insurers, NGOs, breeders, shelters, municipalities and partners in an integrated pet protection network.
Our goal is that in the future, each animal can have a reliable digital identity, capable of accompanying them in different moments of life: identification, health, vaccination, spaying/neutering, location, services, benefits and protection.
What drives us
What drives us is the possibility of transforming stories. Each identified pet can represent an avoided loss, a faster reunion, a more peaceful family, a more organized clinic, a safer insurer or a city better prepared to care for its animals.
Since 2019, we have continued to evolve with this commitment. We started as Pupz, grew as Pet Bio ID and now expand our presence with MyPetAlive.
